What does giving back mean to your company?
At Creme of Nature, giving back means investing in the communities that have supported our brand for generations. We believe beauty is about more than products. It’s about empowering people with confidence, celebrating culture, and creating opportunities for connection, education, and self-expression. As a brand rooted in serving textured hair consumers, we are committed to helping people feel confident, embrace their unique beauty, and feel truly UNSTOPPABLE.

How do you encourage your employees or business partners to participate in the causes your company cares about?
We encourage participation by building community engagement into many of our brand initiatives, partnerships, and events. Whether through educational programs, cultural celebrations, local activations, or nonprofit collaborations, we invite employees, agency partners, stylists, creators, and community leaders to contribute their expertise and time. We believe the strongest impact comes when we work together and create opportunities for people to support causes that align with our shared values.

Can you tell us about your company’s community involvement this year and some of the ways you’ve worked to make a difference?
Throughout the year, Creme of Nature has continued to invest in programs and partnerships that celebrate and support Black communities, creators, entrepreneurs, and beauty professionals. Through cultural events such as CurlFest and the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival, we created opportunities for connection, education, and self-expression while providing consumers with expert hair care advice, product access, and empowering experiences. Led by our Chief Brand Officer, Keke Palmer, we partnered with stylists, creators, and community leaders to amplify diverse voices and foster conversations around beauty, culture, entrepreneurship, and confidence. We also supported organizations and programs that invest directly in the next generation, including sponsorships with groups such as Jack & Jill and LiveGirl, helping create opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. By connecting with consumers nationwide through cultural events, community partnerships, and educational experiences, our goal has been to create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and celebrated while using our platform to inspire confidence, strengthen community connections, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of the consumers we serve.

What is one lesson your company has learned through its community involvement that you hope to carry forward?
One of our biggest lessons has been the importance of listening first. Meaningful impact starts with understanding the needs, aspirations, and experiences of the communities we serve. The most successful programs are those built in partnership with the community rather than for the community. This commitment to listening, learning, and collaborating will continue to guide how we engage and invest in the future.

In what ways do you believe businesses in the beauty and personal care industry can use their influence to make a positive difference in their community?
Beauty brands have a unique ability to reach people at deeply personal moments in their lives. With that influence comes a responsibility to foster confidence, representation, education, and opportunity. Companies can make a positive difference by creating inclusive products, amplifying diverse voices, supporting local organizations and entrepreneurs, investing in educational initiatives, and using their platforms to celebrate culture and inspire positive change. When brands lead with authenticity and purpose, they can help strengthen communities and create lasting impact beyond the beauty aisle.
